Suns sink 21 three-pointers to extend Raptors’ early-season woes

As the Phoenix Suns rained in three-pointers from just about everywhere on the floor, the Raptors perimeter defensive woes became more glaringly apparent.

The Suns made a season-high 21 threes Wednesday night — the second most given up by a Toronto team — as the Raptors fell to 1-6 with a 123-115 loss in Phoenix on Wednesday night.

The Raptors wasted a breakout offensive game from Pascal Siakam, who scored a season-high 32 points, they got no discernible production from the bench and they gave a lax defensive effort.

Kyle Lowry had 24 points, OG Anunoby had 20 and Fred VanVleet and Norm Powell had 13 each for the Raptors but little production from anywhere else doomed them.
