Strong performances lead the Raptors past the Knicks, 85-73

The Raptors grabbed their first win of the tournament in convincing fashion, beating up on the Knicks throughout the game, and especially in the second quarter, winning the quarter 28-to-11 and never looking back. Jordan Loyd played the facilitator role, and Chris Boucher and Dewan Hernandez handled the scoring. A good night in Vegas.

Coming into the game, though, it looked like the Knicks had the talent advantage, or at least the NBA talent adavtange. They featured Canadian R.J. Barrett, the third overall pick in the 2019 draft, Mitchell Robinson, the shot-blocking seven footer picked 36th in the 2018 draft, and Kevin Knox, the ninth pick from the 2018 draft, along with a few others determined to crack their NBA roster.
