Short-handed Raptors almost scrambled up a win in Atlanta

The Raptors didn’t have many players, and most of the ones they did have were put in unfamiliar roles.

They were at a size disadvantage the entire game and facing an explosive backcourt scoring duo. And while there are no moral victories in professional sports and they will certainly feel they let one get away, a 124-122 overtime loss to the Hawks in Atlanta on Saturday night included a handful of superb efforts.

Scottie Barnes, Malachi Flynn, Thad Young and Juancho Hernangómez all had season-best games, which will do wonders for their confidence and that of the coaching staff and their teammates.
