Rusty Raptors fall to Bulls in Chicago

CHICAGO—A week between games in an NBA season is an eon, more than long enough to lose a mental edge, more than enough time to get just a little bit out of condition.

The extended all-star break had worried Raptors coach Dwane Casey on Friday morning; he was concerned about rust and his players still being in “vacation mode.”

Hours later, his worst fears were realized.

The Raptors meekly capitulated in a horrid second half here, dropping a 116-106 decision to the Chicago Bulls that bore out all the danger signs Casey had pointed to earlier in the day.
