Rising Stars game will have record Canadian content, but it’s short an up-and-coming Raptor

Canada will be well represented at the NBA’s Rising Stars game as the kickoff to the league’s all-star weekend.

The country’s lone team? Not so much.

A record-setting four Canadians — RJ Barrett of the New York Knicks, Brandon Clarke of the Memphis Grizzlies and cousins Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City and Nickeil Alexander-Walker of New Orleans — were named to world team for the game Friday but the one Raptor thought likely to make the United States team was left off the roster.
