Rested development should help Raptor Lowry

Trimming Kyle Lowry’s workload key for long term, with Cory Joseph’s help.

MILWAUKEE—Kyle Lowry is the most heavily-used player in the NBA, averaging 38.5 minutes per night going into Friday’s game here, and Toronto Raptors coach Dwane Casey would like to change that.

Casey took a small step in that direction Wednesday in Houston, resting Lowry in the first and third quarters for about five minutes more than usual, and it ended with the point guard logging only 35 minutes in that 115-102 Raptors victory.
