Masai Ujiri is reportedly getting his free-agent shopping done a little early. A report from NBC’s Dan Feldman has the Raptors re-signing Serge Ibaka to a contract starting at $20 million. No reports out have given a contract length.
After the salary cap skyrocketed last summer with the influx of new television money, $20 million is right around the number many experts expected Ibaka to sign for. The question for Ujiri and head coach Dwane Casey is: can Ibaka take the Raptors to the next level?
The Raptors acquired Ibaka for Terrence Ross and the 25th overall pick in the days leading up to the trade deadline.
