From Pascal Siakam, it’s been seen before: the driving and the spinning, the quickness and the athleticism.
It was nice for the Raptors to see it again on Sunday night, a 30-point performance in a 115-102 win over the Orlando Magic that hearkened back to Siakam’s all-star days of this time last season.
But Yuta Watanabe? This is new and unexpected and most welcome for a team that’s been scuffling most of the season.
Watanabe, proving to be a consistent and valuable backup for the Raptors on a two-way contract, had 11 points and three blocked shots as he continues to be a revelation.
