The Toronto Raptors don’t know who they will play in the first round of the NBA playoffs and they don’t know whether they will start on the first Saturday of the post-season or the Sunday.
Coach Dwane Casey, however, does know one thing for sure and he’s looking for lobbying assistance from team president Masai Ujiri to make sure it’s avoided: Casey thinks the earliest start on the first playoff day must be avoided if at all possible.
“We seem to get that 12 o’clock start that cuts everything short,” Casey said Wednesday, before the team departed for Atlanta and Thursday’s game against the Hawks.
