It is impossible for any of the Toronto Raptors to really answer the questions they will be asked repeatedly at the start of the NBA season. They will be on a public tightrope they would rather not walk. They are a prideful group that was instrumental in bringing an NBA championship to the city and the country, and the incessant questioning about absent friends makes the players ill at ease.
You know the questions because everyone’s heard them.
“But what about Kawhi Leonard?”
“How can you win and win big without him?”
“What can you possibly do to fill the void now that the NBA Finals’ most valuable player and deliverer of titles has forsaken you?
