Toronto also sending first-round pick to Orlando for power forward they’ve been after since June.
CHICAGO—Masai Ujiri got his man at a cost much cheaper than the original price.
In his boldest in-season move as the team’s president, Ujiri swung a deal Tuesday that will see the Raptors acquire power forward Serge Ibaka from the Orlando Magic for Terrence Ross and a 2017 first-round draft pick.
The deal was still awaiting league approval on Tuesday afternoon and it’s unlikely that Ibaka will be in the Raptors lineup before the NBA all-star break ends next week.
