The Toronto Raptors are officially announcing their new head coach Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. at the Air Canada Centre.
Nick Nurse takes over as the franchise’s ninth head coach after the Raptors fired Dwane Casey last month following the Raptors elimination at the hands of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers for the third straight season.

Nurse agreed to a three-year, $10 million deal, reports ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, who was also the first to report the news that the Raptors were promoting their assistant coach to the head job.
