Tampa is now the official home of the Raptors for the duration of the 2020-21 NBA season.
The club announced Thursday morning that because of continued concerns with the global COVID-19 pandemic and inherent public health measures, the Raptors will not be able to complete the second half of the regular season at the Scotiabank Arena.
“Home is where the heart is, and our hearts are in Toronto,” team president Masai Ujiri said in a statement Thursday.
“We think often of our fans, of our Scotiabank Arena family, and all those we are missing back home, and we can’t wait until we can all be together again.
