Raptors sweep season series from Cavaliers, close in on all-star nod for their coach

No Marc Gasol, no problem for the surging Raptors, who extended their winning streak to nine games — and their road winning streak to eight — with a 115-109 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday.

Norm Powell scored eight points in the final 90 seconds and picked up a key steal to help secure the win. Serge Ibaka led all Toronto scorers with 26 points while Kyle Lowry, named to the NBA all-star game as a reserve earlier in the evening, chipped in with 23 points, five assists and five rebounds.

The nine consecutive wins are a season high for the Raptors, who haven’t lost since Jan.
