There was a nifty over-the-shoulder pass from DeMar DeRozan to OG Anunoby for a three-point play and a couple of Kyle Lowry three-pointers, and seven points from Serge Ibaka in about five minutes as part of Ibaka’s night-long decimation of Blake Griffin.
It was as if the Toronto Raptors’ starters looked over at the vaunted backup unit that can put games away and said, “hold our beer, we got this one.”
That little spurt by the starting five — and Jonas Valanciunas was a part of it as well — blew open a game Monday night as the Raptors got back on track with a 123-94 win over the Detroit Pistons.
