Kyle Lowry’s Toronto home has been sold. Not unlike the veteran point guard’s future with the Raptors, the purchase is conditional.
The 34-year-old Lowry, whose contract with the Raptors expires at season’s end, may or may not be dealt to a contender in the lead-up to the NBA’s March 25 trade deadline. Whether or not team president Masai Ujiri makes such a franchise-shaking move surely depends on multiple factors, including Lowry’s level of desire to chase another championship ring, Toronto’s position in the playoff race, and whether or not the return would be enough to consider fast-forwarding Toronto’s transition into a post-Lowry era.
