Somewhere during the long wait between Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals, Warriors coach Steve Kerr was asked if the Raptors reminded him of any particular opponent his team has faced during its incredible run to three of the four past NBA titles.
Maybe because his team hadn’t lost the opening game of an NBA Finals in four previous appearances, or perhaps because the Raptors are led by the uniquely skilled Kawhi Leonard, Kerr said he wasn’t sure if Toronto reminded him of a previous opponent.
“But they remind me of us in a lot of ways,” Kerr said.
