Raptors sign Aron Baynes and Chris Boucher, while Marc Gasol heads to the Lakers

The dizzying spin of the NBA free agency wheel has ended with Raptors getting Aron Baynes to replace Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka.

Ending a weekend of highs and lows in the pursuit of a frontcourt anchor, the Raptors will sign Baynes to a two-year, $14.3-million (U.S.) deal, according to NBA sources granted anonymity because the deal had not been approved by the NBA. It came after Gasol bolted for the Los Angeles Lakers and Ibaka left for the Los Angeles Clippers.

According to other reports, the Raptors will also bring back Canadian Chris Boucher on a two-year deal.
