Raptors shooters show they’re long shots, and good ones at that, with three-point mark

It is the greatest offensive weapon in the modern NBA — the three-point shot — and the deeper it comes from the better it is.

It is the lifeblood of the Raptors offence, the trademark of a roster that is constructed so that everyone is a deep threat. It is a tenet of Nick Nurse’s coaching philosophy — he wants five capable shooters on the court at all times in a perfect world — and it benefits everyone.

Particularly Fred VanVleet. Being the guy with the ball, with so many shooting weapons, doesn’t necessarily make the game easy but it does make it easier.
