The Raptors have been paid off big time for the trouble of having to play the entire 2019-20 NBA season on the road.
In their first appearance in the league’s draft lottery in eight years, Toronto ended up with the No. 4 pick in next month’s draft.
The Raptors had the seventh-best odds going into the lottery and moved up for the first time in five years.
The Detroit Pistons will have the No. 1 selection, the Houston Rockets will pick No. 2 and the Cleveland Cavaliers will have the No. 3 selection.
The fourth pick will be the highest the Raptors have selected since taking Andrea Bargnani first overall in 2006.
