Raptors’ reserves rally for one last regular-season win

BROOKLYN, N.Y.—The only thing that makes a 21-win season even more depressing is to make the home finale fan appreciation night.

With a 103-96 loss to the Toronto Raptors, the Brooklyn Nets seem rudderless. They fired GM Billy King in January and their new hire, Sean Marks, is less than two months into the job. They have an interim head coach in Tony Brown and Marks has inherited a roster that’s lacking.

The Raptors that would remember seasons like that — DeMar DeRozan, Jonas Valanciunas, James Johnson and Kyle Lowry — didn’t make the trip for Wednesday’s season finale.
