The NBA champion Toronto Raptors agreed to a two-year, partially guaranteed deal with point guard Cameron Payne, according to a report by The Athletic.
Payne — who appeared to confirm the move by tweeting one word: North, with a Canada flag emoji — finished last season with the Cleveland Cavaliers and played three Summer League games with the Dallas Mavericks this month.
The 24-year-old Payne was drafted 14th overall by Oklahoma City in 2015 and played 77 games for the Thunder over two seasons. He went on to spend parts of three seasons with the Chicago Bulls before landing in Cleveland.
