Raptors remove Pascal Siakam from the lineup for game against Knicks

The Raptors sent a clear and unequivocal message Thursday night that it is team above all.

All-star forward Pascal Siakam was effectively suspended by the team for Toronto’s game against the New York Knicks — banished to the sidelines, not even dressed — after walking off the court with time remaining in Tuesday’s loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Siakam fouled out of Tuesday’s game with about 25 seconds left, stood near the bench area for a couple of seconds before walking back to the locker room.

Raptors coach Nick Nurse said immediately after that game that he would “address it when I get back to the locker room.
