NBA players are not normal people with normal lives or normal sleeping habits, and if DeMarre Carroll and Cory Joseph were hanging out with DeMar DeRozan in the wee hours of Wednesday instead of walking around a Cleveland casino, no one would be wondering about how they were acting or what they were doing.
And they would have been up even later than they were.
“I was in the room that night until 4 o’clock in the morning watching Superman versus Batman,” DeRozan said Thursday. “Would that be a story? That’s how much nonsense it (is).”
A story about Carroll and Joseph being in a casino attached to the team hotel 16 hours before the Toronto Raptors were blown out by the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference final became something of an issue on Thursday — quickly defused by the two principles and their teammates.
