In a move that should surprise no one, the Toronto Raptors announced today (Oct. 16th) they have exercised the contract options on three of their young players: second year big men Jakob Poeltl and Pascal Siakam, along with third year guard Delon Wright. The move is a no-brainer for all involved.
For Poeltl and Siakam, the 22-year-old ninth pick and the 23-year-old 27th pick in the 2016 NBA draft respectively, the third year options cost the Raptors $2,947,300 and $1,544,951 for the 2018-19 season, and then another decision will have to be made.
