If the early ayes have it, the Raptors’ Pascal Siakam could be on his way to his first all-star game.
The Toronto forward ranked third among Eastern Conference frontcourt options as of Thursday, when the NBA released early results of fan voting, which began Dec. 25 and runs through Jan. 20.
Siakam (544,302) sits behind the Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo (1,073,358) and the Philadelphia 76ers’ Joel Embiid (606,534) on the top-10 list of frontcourt vote-getters. And Siakam is more than 100,000 votes ahead of fourth-place Jimmy Butler of the Miami Heat (431,483).
Five-time all-star Kyle Lowry (154,139) is eighth out of 10 on the list of East guards, with Atlanta Hawks’ Trae Young (443,412) and the Brooklyn Nets’ Kyrie Irving (432,481) leading that pack.
