The deal also sees Brooklyn receive a lottery-protected first-round pick and a second-round pick for centre Justin Hamilton.
One of the worst kept Raptors secrets is now official.
Confirming a deal that’s been in place for days, Toronto has finalized a trade to send DeMarre Carroll, a lottery-protected first-round pick and a second-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for centre Justin Hamilton.
The deal, “announced” by Carroll on the weekend, was held up until Washington officially matched an offer sheet from Brooklyn for forward Otto Porter so that the Nets could have the salary cap room to absorb Carroll’s $15 million (all figures US) contract.
