I’ve never tried to hide my low regard for DeMarre Carroll. While I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt when Toronto Raptors President Masai Ujiri brought him on board as a free agent, I’m out of patience.
With P.J. Tucker in Raptors red, I see no reason to continue with Carroll as the starting small forward.
Tucker built his NBA reputation on stifling defense, which includes sound rebounding skills. He’s brought all that from Phoenix, and he’s been scoring as well. By contrast, Carroll, supposedly a 3-&-D man, has hit 2 long balls in his past six games.
