Heading into his fourth Olympic Games this summer, Raptors forward Luis Scola found out on Wednesday that he will carry Argentina’s flag into the opening ceremony on Aug. 5.
“It’s just something very special,” he said. “I knew there was a chance it was going to happen. But (Wednesday) when I found out, it was like I cannot believe this is happening. I cannot believe that I’ll actually be there and carrying the flag in front of a whole country, with the support of a whole country.”
Scola has seen Argentina’s basketball star hit the highest heights possible through his previous three Olympic appearances.
