Raptors’ Lowry out indefinitely after back injections

Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry received injections to relieve pain and inflammation in his lower back and there is no timeline for his return.

Lowry, who had missed seven of the last eight games before Tuesday night’s home date with the Utah Jazz, travelled to New York for the injections on Friday, the team announced. The Raptors added that the 32-year-old Lowry’s condition has shown improvement. The four-time NBA all-star is averaging 14.4 points and ranks second in the NBA with 9.8 assists per game.
