Raptors land free agent Otto Porter Jr.: report

The Raptors first move to augment their roster is a significant one.

According to a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, Toronto has agreed to a free-agent deal with forward Otto Porter Jr., who joins the Raptors after a championship run with the Golden State Warriors.

Porter, an eight-year NBA veteran, is the prototypical Raptors player: a versatile 6-foot-8 wing who has a wingspan of greater than seven feet.

The 29-year-old native of St. Louis is also an effective three-point shooter who made 37 per cent of his long-range shots with the Warriors last season and is a 40 per cent three-point shooter for his career.
