Raptors-Knicks at MSG brings back the fun, and memories of a watershed series 20 years ago

Barring a late push into the NBA’s pandemic play-in round, there’s all of three weeks remaining in this most irregular of Raptors seasons. And given how they’re residing 10 games below .500 in a Tampa-based slog that’s been a multiple-front nightmare, here’s guessing more than a few players and coaches won’t be sad to see it end.

Still, with a relatively full complement of talent back on the floor, and with a not-so-thinly veiled attempt at a tank job at least momentarily abandoned, you could have been convinced that Saturday’s game in New York actually meant something to the Raptors.
