Clear as mud.
With the final week of the NBA’s regular season having arrived, the picture at the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff race is as murky as it ever was, a troubling situation for the Raptors.
Toronto is virtually assured of finishing second in the conference and will face the No. 7 team, but they have no idea who that might be and it’s putting some pressure on their scouting staff.
In a perfect world, the Raptors would know now who they will face in the best-of-seven first round; in a slightly imperfect world, they would be able to narrow the list of possible opponents down to two or maybe three teams.
