Raptors have succeeded at stopping all-stars. Now it’s time to focus on secondary players

CHICAGO – The Raptors are finding out the hard way that any job isn’t truly done unless all the details are nailed down.

They have bottled up some of the best players in the NBA, holding them far below their season averages and not letting them take over games, using a variety of schemes and personnel.

Houston’s James Harden saw some of the most consistent and aggressive double-team defences imaginable last week and while he did score 23 points in a game in Toronto, that’s a total any Rocket opponent can live with.
