Raptors have history of turning the corner in Game 5

If this is the NBA playoffs, this must be the Raptors in mini-crisis. Never mind the greatest regular season in franchise history and a two-win start to a first-round series with the Wizards. Two straight losses later, this is DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry leading a team that’s being asked an existential question.

Can the new-look Raptors actually win in the post-season with their ball-sharing, three-point-shooting style? Wednesday’s Game 5 will be a referendum on the matter.

After watching the Raptors fumble their way through a pair of defeats in D.C. in Games 3 and 4, it’d be easy enough to be a doomsayer about the way this series is heading.
