Raptors get the message with season on the line in Game 3

Maybe Raptors head coach Nick Nurse was actually considering a change to his starting lineup for Sunday’s Game 3 of the Eastern Conference final.

Maybe he wasn’t just messing with us, or with his non-plussed Milwaukee counterpart Mike Budenholzer, who, when he was asked about Toronto’s potential tweaks, deadpanned the indifference of a man whose team had a 2-0 stranglehold on the best-of-seven series.

“Unless he’s taking Kawhi Leonard out of the starting lineup, I think our guys will be prepared,” Budenholzer said.

Change in the opening lineup, as it turned out, didn’t come. A change in the final result did.
