It didn’t take Kawhi Leonard long to re-establish himself as an NBA all-star.
The Raptors forward was selected a starter in next month’s all-star game in Charlotte in voting among fans, players and a media panel. The league announced the results Thursday night.
Leonard was one of three frontcourt choices in the East, along with Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo and Philadelphia’s Joel Embiid. Boston’s Kyrie Irving and Charlotte’s Kemba Walker were chosen as starting guards.
Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Houston’s James Harden earned the guard spots in West balloting, with the Lakers’ LeBron James, the Warriors’ Kevin Durant and Oklahoma City’s Paul George filling the frontcourt spots.
