CALGARY—Dwane Casey is taking every opportunity to see what the end of the Toronto Raptors’ training camp roster can contribute.
Holding out two starters and limiting two others to less than 20 minutes, the coach mixed and matched a group that dropped a 108-106 decision to the Denver Nuggets before a sellout crowd of 19,600 at the Scotiabank Saddledome on Monday night.
The Raptors gave starters DeMarre Carroll (rest) and Jared Sullinger (sore foot) the night off and sat DeMar DeRozan and Kyle Lowry for the entire second half as Casey eases his team into the exhibition season.
