An interesting article in Hoops Hype is worthy of your attention. In brief, the author posits that success in the NBA draft can be objectively determined by counting how many first-round picks have been signed to second contracts by their original teams. While I’m not totally on board with his viewpoint (and neither is the author himself; more on that later), I’m always happy to explore compelling topics.

I’m gratified to note the success of the Toronto Raptors. Since the turn of the century, our team has brought back 5 of 11 first-round picks.
