It may turn out that an unproven rookie and a prospect on a two-way contract will be key components to helping unlock the early-season woes the Raptors are experiencing.
Malachi Flynn and Yuta Watanabe should not be asked to solve all the problems that plague the Raptors but the spark they can give in a small doses may provide enough time for the more veteran players to get themselves in gear and let the season unfold as the franchise expected.
It is a tall order for the two so early in their Toronto tenure but teams get through desperate times in any way possible.
