With the best game of his career salted away, and with a number of congratulatory texts and messages read from his phone and the magnitude of the performance still sinking in, DeMar DeRozan wandered away from his stall in the Raptors locker room, looked back over his shoulder and left these bon mots.
“Don’t say I can’t make three-pointers,” he joked.
And off he went to start really thinking about what he had just done: Score more points in any single game than any Raptor ever has while continuing a three-point barrage some may think is out of character for one of the best mid-range scorers in this NBA era.
