Asked Wednesday night to describe the personalized inscription he’d chosen for the piece of championship jewelry he received before a blowout win in Toronto, Leonard acknowledged he’d opted for an “eff-you symbol” — some version of a middle-finger emoji. The innocuous explanation went that Leonard wanted to remind himself to put the ring on his middle finger. According to Michael Lee of The Athletic, the ring he won with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014 had been sized for his index finger.
