Raptors’ defence lets them down as win streak ends in Atlanta

The numbers don’t lie, the math is quite simple, the result entirely predictable.

It doesn’t matter how efficient the Raptors were on offence Saturday night — and they were far from brilliant — the other side of the ledger was the reason their three-game winning streak came to a screeching halt.

The Atlanta Hawks shredded the Raptors defence to the tune of 57 per cent efficiency and handed Toronto a 132-121 road loss.

“We gave up three 30-point quarters and that’s not going to get it done, especially on the second night of a back-to-back.,” Fred VanVleet said.
