Raptors couldn’t match star power when playoffs rolled around

As the Raptors suffered yet another indignity inflicted by LeBron’s LeBroom, Toronto’s duelling all-stars didn’t exactly cover themselves in glory on Monday night.

There was DeMar DeRozan, ripping off his jersey in a disgusted huff after being ejected from an elimination game for a third-quarter flagrant foul. Forget the bounce-back performance he’d been vowing since his fourth-quarter benching in Game 3. If DeRozan’s regular season suggested evolution, what with his dabbling with the three-point shot and a new emphasis on passing, by series end DeRozan was back to being what he’s always been — an all-star humbled in the presence of LeBron James’s megastardom.
