Raptors complete Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade, acquire Goran Dragic and Precious Achiuwa from Miami Heat

The Raptors have completed the Kyle Lowry sign-and-trade with the Miami Heat, ending a Toronto sports era.

Lowry is headed to Miami, with veteran point guard Goran Dragic and young big man Precious Achiuwa coming to Toronto in a long-expected move finalized Friday night.

It remains to be seen whether the Raptors can flip the 35-year-old Dragic to another team, but that will be a separate transaction should it occur.

Lowry spent nine seasons in Toronto and leaves with a host of franchise records to his name.

The 35-year-old, acquired in 2012 from Houston for Gary Forbes and a draft pick that eventually became veteran centre Steven Adams, leaves as first all-time in assists, steals, three-pointers made and attempted, second in games and minutes played.
