Raptors collapse in second half as Pacers force Game 7

INDIANAPOLIS—Dwane Casey spoke of the “burden of history” for the Toronto Raptors, for both this group of players and the franchise as a whole, and how dangerous it would be to get caught up in it.

He didn’t want his players bogged down by it, to worry about it or let nagging doubts creep into their heads because of it.

It was a new day, a new series, a new chance.

And an old result.

A second half collapse — horrid defence, bad shot selection, getting beaten to every 50-50 ball — has put the Raptors in an eerily familiar situation, one which they have never handled particularly well.
