CLEVELAND—Just one game in, LeBron James and his Cleveland Cavaliers already are in firm control of their Eastern Conference final with the Toronto Raptors.
But the battle for the ref’s favour, however, seems to be up for grabs.
Neither team would say it outright on Wednesday, but both had issues with the way the Cavs’ 115-84 win over the Raptors was called. It started in Independence, Ohio, where James and the Cavs had just wrapped up their practice.
After taking a clubbing on a couple of plays from Bismack Biyombo and a hard wrap-up on a fast break from DeMarre Carroll, the topic of him taking head shots came up.
