Raptors brace for Cavaliers’ surge in tonight’s Game 5

CLEVELAND—They know it’s coming but they don’t know when, all the Toronto Raptors can say is they must be better prepared to withstand the inevitable Cleveland Cavalier run in Game 5 of the NBA Eastern Conference final.

The inability to deal with the Cavs and momentum-shifting runs crushed the Raptors here in Games 1 and 2 of the series, they cannot have the same crippling stretch tonight.

“We’ve got to try to find a way,” Kyle Lowry said before the team’s shootaround at the Quicken Loans Arena this morning.

“We’ve got to play harder and execute, understand what we have to do to withstand their runs, the physicality and their momentum in this building.
