It has been one of the delightful stories in the NBA and an integral part of what has been a wildly successful Toronto Raptors season.
So it had to be shocking to some fans, and totally out of character to the players and coaches, when the vaunted Bench Mob finally failed to come through.
There were other aspects that contributed mightily to Toronto’s 117-106 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Air Canada Centre on Sunday, but a bad night from the second unit was surprising given how seldom it happens.
