Tomorrow’s Raptors Media Day event marks the official start of the 2018-19 season. The team will do its traditional meet-and-greet with various media members, they’ll answer questions, they’ll have their picture taken, and they’ll probably film some TV spots too. And when that’s all done, they’ll bundle onto a plane and head west for training camp.
This is all pretty normal stuff, except for the fact that Toronto has been waiting for Kawhi Leonard to officially acknowledge, verbally, that he is indeed a Toronto Raptor. It’s been a rollercoaster of emotion since the mid-July trade, and now over two months later, it looks like this phase of anticipation is coming to an end.
